Toya Itachizuka (鼬塚透也) is a minor antagonist in the series.
Appearance[]
He has light brown, messy hair on the top with dark brown hair under it. He has a tuft of hair on his forehead and has sharp, deep brown eyes. He is usually seen wearing a coat with a thick fur collar. Under the coat is a shirt under another shirt with a regular folded collar.
Personality[]
He is very arrogant and loves to fight. He does not like to have debt, so he tries to payback the person he owes to make sure of it. He likes to tease and/or taunt people and is sly.
Etymology[]
Toya (透也): To (透) means "transparent" while "ya" (也) means "to be classical". Altogether, it means "to be classically transparent"
Itachizuka (鼬塚): Itachi(鼬) means "weasel" while zuka (塚) means "mound" or "hillock".
Relationships[]
Azuki Arai[]
He was childhood friends with him before Azuki move to the city.
Haruna Masaka[]
His relationship with Haruna started when she took him in after he fought the Nekuni and left Fuyuho (when she was disguised). It was when we first get a glimpse of Haruna in the series. When she took him in, she cared for his injuries, fed him, and bathed him, in his weasel form. For taking him in and caring for him, Toya wants to pay back his debt for her in some way, which is when they fight Fuyuho.
Kyoichi Nekuni[]
He has some sort of rivalry with Kyoichi. He dislikes that he is a Nekuni but likes his fighting spirit. In some way, he feels he has some connection to him due to their similar histories, with the both of them being unable to save their parents.
Natsuho Nekogazaki[]
He refers to her as "little kitty." He had used her and deceived her to get her to kill Kyoichi once, but all of that is the past now.
History[]
He was living happily with his father in the village, before his father was slain by Goichi and Sana's mother. After witnessing his father's death, he attempted suicide by sticking a sword straight through his heart. This, however, didn't kill him, but turned him into a Yokai instead.
Abilities[]
Toya has the ability to transform himself into other people. It is first seen when he transforms into Sen Inuhara. He has transformed into Haruna Masaka in order to trick Fuyuho.
